Hello Catalina

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting three talented ladies to do a poolside shoot with three 1960's true vintage Catalina brand gingham swimsuits.

The inspiration for this shoot began on Instagram when I saw that Apt703Vintage was selling two true vintage gingham Catalina swimsuits. To find two true vintage garments from the same collection is rare enough, but I then found a third Catalina swimsuit listed by FindersKeepersRVA! I knew immediately that if I could get all three, I would have to do a vintage shoot with them.

Luckily, I was able to reach out to both sellers, and a week later the suits arrived!

The swimsuits are beautiful - bright, gingham linen with floral trim. These suits give off a fun, playful summer vibe, and I could not wait to begin the preparations for this shoot. 

Making this shoot a reality was an adventure. Between finding all the perfect accessories, the right location, and coordinating with models, this photoshoot was a culmination of planning that spanned three states and Washington, D.C.!

I have always believed if you truly want something, life has an amazing way of making it happen. Granted, you may have to take a few twists and turns to get there, but life really does have a way of making it work.

This shoot truly came together in such an amazing way.
